Team Leaders Training Programme
The importance of the centrality of good leaders and leadership for all ministries in every NTA church cannot be over emphasised as a secure foundation is necessary to sustain the structure. Throughout the Old & NT effective Leaders were recognized and particularly so in times of crisis. Some notable and effective bible leaders were Moses, Nehemiah, Joshua, Deborah, Paul, Peter. Solomon at the start of his ministry ask God for Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding to execute well his mission.
Learning Outcomes
To understand and practice the key skills and competences of an effective leader;
Define the different types, styles and responsibilities of leadership;
Understand the importance of effective teams and how they contribute to the vision/mission of the Organization;
Understand the main personality types and begin to develop strategies to positively work with each type of personality;
Understand why teams become dysfunctional
Knowledge of Motivational theories and apply the essential principles in developing and managing their team;
Understand the importance of goal setting, decision making and time management;
Utilizing emotional intelligence to develop teamwork and team members;
Develop good communication skills and be able to overcome barriers to communication
Admissions Criteria
This course has been designed for;
Those who want to build on their existing leadership skills and effectiveness;
those who are aspiring to senior leadership roles;
Those who are new to Leadership or Management roles;
Supervisors, team and ministry leaders;
Those who have had no previous training in the basics of people management.
